Death in Williamsburg: A Different Kind of Walking Tour

Join us for a unique experience as we explore the darker side of Williamsburg's history. This walking tour will take you on a journey to experience the history of death, murder, burials, and epidemics that took place right here in Williamsburg!

Date: Various Dates through the end of 2025!

Time: 3:30 PM -5:00 PM

(Please arrive 10-15 minutes before for check-in)

Location: Meet in front of the Williamsburg Capitol Building

The tour is accessible, however it is about a 2 mile walk, and does not end where it begins

Will we go inside any of the historic buildings on tour?

The tour will not go inside any of the historic buildings. Only tours booked through the CW foundation will provide indoor access to the buildings

Can photos be taken during the tour?

Yes, you may take photos during the walk. Please considering sharing your photos with use by tagging one of our social media accounts.

Can I take video during the tour?

We kindly ask that you not take video during the tour, however we encourage you to take photos during the tour.

Can I eat or drink on the tour?

Yes, you can bring food and drinks on the tour. However, Alcoholic Beverages are not allowed to be consumed on public streets in Williamsburg so please finish those before joining the tour.

Are Kids free?

Yes, Children 5 years old and younger are free! The Tour is recommended for ages 10 and up, but everyone is welcome to join.

Is the tour family friendly?

Yes, the tour is recommended for people 10 and up, however everyone is allowed to join the tour. The themes of the tour include stories about murder and may not be for everyone. Parents/Guardians should consider the tour description when deciding if the tour is appropriate for their children.

Are Pets allowed?

Service Animals are always welcome! We ask that you leave any pets at home for the comfort and safety of all of our guests.

Can I smoke or vape while on tour?

We kindly ask that refrain from smoking or vaping while on the tour.
