CT Mirror State Policy Editor Erica E. Phillips sits down with four of Connecticut’s most successful entrepreneurs to explore their origin story, how they turned that first dollar, and why Connecticut was the place to make it happen.

This in-person, four-part event series continues with Bill Shufelt and John Walker of Milford's Athletic Brewing Company (athleticbrewing.com) on March 19, 2025.

Driven by a mission to make non-alcoholic beer mainstream, Bill and John first began test-brewing in a garage in Connecticut. One hundred home-brewed batches later, they had perfected their process and refined their flavors. Then they built an entire business around it; within a few short years it's become the world's largest dedicated non-alcoholic brewery.

Future events in this series:
April 30 - Jason Sobocinski of Haven Hot Chicken, New Haven
May 28 - Felicia Rubinstein of Havyn Coworking, Darien

6PM Ferguson Library, Stamford.
