The skills taught in Crucial Conversations for Mastering Dialogue help leaders handle disagreement in a way that fosters respect, trust, and collaboration. Leaders learn to establish psychological safety, maintain respect while being direct, notice if dialogue is diminishing, and restore safety to keep communication open and honest.

Become a Certified Trainer Series
Dates: June 18 and 20, 2025 (must complete Crucial Conversations series: June 11-12)
Time: 8:30 AM - 4:00 PM (both days)
Location: 101 Twin Dolphin Drive, Redwood City
The certified trainer series requires completion of the first two days of Crucial Conversations trainings on June 11 and 12. Becoming a certified trainer allows leaders to train peers and colleagues within the SELPA and their own organizations. SELPA will pay for the certification of trainers who meet requirements, but requires contribution to future SELPA-wide training of Crucial Conversations.
