FAQs
What is CROSSROADS?
CROSSROADS is a trauma-informed, reflective parenting program for parents and carers of children who have experienced domestic and family violence. The tools and resources provided are evidence-based, built on experiences shared by real families and children.
Who developed CROSSROADS?
This evidence-based reflective parenting program was developed through Queensland Government funding as a partnership between Inala Community House and Red Rose Foundation.
Who can facilitate the CROSSROADS?
Anyone who has completed the two-half day Train the Trainer can use CROSSROADS to support the parents and carers they work with. You can use the program flexibility either one-on-one or in a group setting and use as much or as little of the content to meet your parents/carers needs.
Can I train my colleagues in CROSSROADS using the resources?
You are recognised as a CROSSROADS trainer for parents and carers you are working with. You are not permitted to train other practitioners as this must be done by qualified CROSSROADS train the trainers.
Is it possible to have a CROSSROADS Train the Trainer program run in-house for my organisation?
Absolutely! Please contact us on CROSSROADS@ich.org.au to make an enquiry and we will call you back to discuss you and your organisation's needs.
Can I get the an updated or replacement memory card or manual with the training program?
Yes absolutely! We regularly update the content on the slides to ensure the program is current and you can request the updated program at anytime. You can also request a replacement program if you have lost yours. The cost is $35 per set (USB & Manual) and it will be mailed out to you. To request, please contact us at CROSSROADS@ich.org.au
What are my options if I cannot attend the training after registration?
You can transfer your registration to a colleague by emailing us at CROSSROADS@ich.org.au. Please note that refunds are not available.
