About this event

  • Event lasts 1 hour

The Survivorship Program is offering an opportunity for patients and survivors to explore their experiences and feelings through writing. The focus will be on expressive, no-rules writing that will be designed to provide a safe space to explore challenging and traumatic issues in relation to your cancer diagnosis. This is a 6-week series with the sessions occuring on Thursday evenings. This unique offering is available to patients and survivors at no charge. This series will be led by Greenville SC writer, Lindsey DeLoach, and is hosted in partnership with Hub City Bookshop. Research shows that writing can effectively reduce stress by providing a healthy outlet to express thoughts and feelings related to stressful situations, which can help individuals process emotions and gain perspective, ultimately leading to a calmer state of mind.
