Stewardship Salons are semi-formal opportunities intended to create space to share and be inspired by stories of community stewardship, and co-create solutions to community stewardship challenges. Join Pratt Institute and STEMteachersNYC April 3rd in Brooklyn, for a neighborhood coastal walk to learn about local remediation efforts, and then listen to and share stories of neighborhood nature and community stewardship projects in the Pratt Research Yard campus. We will close with a co-solutioning activity.


Open to teachers, environmental educators, communitiy stewards... and friends! Come share stories, be inspired and supported - gain new ideas and connections! Tea and afternoon snacks will be provided.

(STEMteachersNYC) is an approved CTLE Sponsor (ID#23385), and vendor for the New York City Department of Education (#STE-068881); MTAC Qualified. Pre-service teachers may attend for free.

 

STEMteachersNYC was founded in the summer of 2011 by a group of educators as a teacher-led study, support, and professional development group.  STEMteachersNYC membership has grown at over 30% per year and now stands at over 1,600 members. STEMteachersNYC is an affiliate of the American Modeling Teachers Association.
