ABOUT THE COMEDIANS

Cody Montanye (headliner) is a comedian based out of Upstate New York. He can be seen performing frequently throughout the Northeast at venues such as the the Albany FunnyBone (NY), SoulJoels Comedy club (pa), Comix at Mohegan Sun (CT), Paramount Theater (VT) and is a regular the Comedy Works in Saratoga (NY). Montanye has opened for numerous comedians like Louis CK, Kurt Metzger, Tim Meadows, and many others.

Bill Lake (feature act) began his standup career at age 53. He has headlined at The National Comedy Center, featured at clubs up and down the East Coast, and has performed at numerous festivals including the Cleveland Comedy Festival, the Boston Comedy Festival, and the Asheville Comedy Festival. He was a finalist in the Buffalo's Funniest Competition at Helium Buffalo in 2021. Bill’s short, sharp joke style keeps audiences laughing and on the edge of their seats with twists that range from dark to playful to absurd. Before beginning his standup career, Bill was a contributing monologue joke writer for the Late Show with David Letterman, the Late, Late Show with Craig Ferguson, and Saturday Night Live's Weekend Update.”

Charlie Nadler (host) owes his existence to a TV show; his parents met while writing together on Laverne & Shirley. In 10+ years of performing standup while based in Los Angeles, New York City, and now the Berkshires, he has released two albums and told jokes around the world in clubs, colleges, festivals, bars, country clubs, teen centers, basements, attics, and one barber shop. He also develops screenplays and serves as co-founder of Laugh Dealers, a company that produces custom comedy shows and consulting for companies and individuals. Nadler relocated here in 2019 with his wife Cary. Together they raise two cats who do not care for comedy.

ABOUT BRIGHT IDEAS BREWING

Founded in 2016 on the campus of the Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art, Bright Ideas Brewing started with a simple goal; to provide good beer to museum-goers and North Adams locals alike, creating a common space where the two groups could connect over a beer.

Since then, Bright Ideas has grown and evolved, with every batch of beer aiming to improve on the one that came before. The reach of their beers expanded when they began canning and distributing their beers to local restaurants and package stores around western Massachusetts.
