Join AIA members, The Colorado School of Mines, OZ Architecture, and Anderson Mason Dale Architects for a 90-minute walking tour of the Colorado School of Mines campus with an emphasis on design for research and innovation facilities.

Parking: There is no free parking. Parking at the McNeil Hall parking structure is recommended, as it is right next to the Innovation Hub where the tour will begin.

Education: This session has been approved for 1.5 LU|HSW.

Tour Route (see map):

The Colorado School of Mines, OZ Architecture, and Anderson Mason Dale Architects will conduct a 90-minute walking tour of the Colorado School of Mines campus with an emphasis on design for research and innovation facilities.

The tour will begin at the Labriola Innovation Hub, where Jered Minter, AIA, campus architect, will share some thoughts on campus planning and his expectations for campus buildings. David Schafer, AIA, from OZ will speak to the recently completed innovation hub building, sharing some insight into the building and how it is designed to foster collaboration.

The tour will continue to CoorsTek, in the heart of campus, where David Pfeifer, AIA, from Anderson Mason Dale Architects will discuss how that building is designed to encourage interaction and collaboration among its occupants.

Next stop will be Marquez Hall, where Anderson Mason Dale Architects will continue the discussion about design placemaking within the campus fabric.

The last stop will be the Beck Venture Center where OZ Architecture will discuss how the building presents the campus image to the broader community and encourages industry engagement with students through mentorship and events.
