Meet Dr. Lori Sutter


Dr. Lori Sutter is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Biology and Marine Biology at UNCW. With a Ph.D. in Marine Science and extensive expertise in wetland ecology, her research focuses on the impacts of climate change on tidal marsh resilience, sea-level rise adaptation, and carbon sequestration. Dr. Sutter’s innovative work has earned her recognition, including induction into UNCW's James F. Merritt Million Dollar Club. She brings a passion for science communication and education, teaching courses such as Plant Physiology and Wetlands.
