The Carrollton BookFest is a two-day event for readers and writers. Three master classes for writers (Prose, with acclaimed author Bren McClain; Children's Literature, with Lola Schaefer, author of over 275 children's books; and Paths to Publication, with award-winning authors George Weinstein and Kim Conrey) will be offered from 9 am to 4 pm on Friday, April 4th. (Lunch provided for participants) On Saturday, April 5th, readers will have conversations with local, regional, and national authors in a literary salon atmosphere, including coffee and pastries in the morning sessions and wine and cheese in the afternoon. The keynote speaker, nationally best-selling author Karen White, will speak at 1:00 PM. Time will be provided during the lunch break for participants to explore Adamson Square with its cafes, restaurants, and coffee shops.
Books will be available for purchase with Bookmiser onsite, and opportunities for autographs will be available throughout the day.
Also represented will be members of Wild Women Who Write, Sisters in Crime Atlanta, and the Carrollton Writers Guild.
