Swing day takes place on Saturday. Featuring 6 classes of Lindy Hop & 6 of West Coast Swing, with social dancing and Jack & Jill taking place in the evening.

Four Days of Dance

The California Dance Festival is an annual four day dance event from June 19-22 of 2025 in Sacramento, California. Thousands of dancers gather for the event featuring:


  1. 60 instructors from around the world including Italy, Peru, Colombia, The Philippines, New York, Spain, Mexico, Turkey, Lebanon, England and more!
  2. 110+ classes ranging in difficulty from beginner to advanced
  3. 100 Shows headlined by world champion dancers and influencers
  4. Worldwide sensation Dani J performing live on June 21 and full salsa band performing June 20
  5. Dancing all night - Salsa & Bachata every night, Swing on Saturday and Hip Hop on Friday.

1. What is the California Dance Festival?

The California Dance Festival is a vibrant celebration of dance, featuring salsa, bachata, hip hop, Swing and other dance styles. It brings together thousands of dance enthusiasts from all over the world for workshops, performances, social dancing, and cultural exchange.

2. Who can attend the festival?

The festival is open to everyone. Whether you're a complete beginner, an experienced dancer, or just a lover of Latin, Swing or Hip-Hop music and culture, there's something for everyone.

3. Are there any age restrictions for attendees?

While the event is designed for adults, all ages are welcome. If a child wishes to take classes just know that they will be alongside other adults. Parental supervision is encouraged.

4. What should I bring to the festival?

Comfortable clothing and dance shoes or light sneakers are highly recommended. For dance workshops, consider bringing a water bottle, towel, and extra shirts. For the nightly social dances and performances, many attendees enjoy dressing up especially for the themed nights listed on our website.

5. Do I need to bring a dance partner?

A dance partner is not necessary. Workshops and social dances are excellent opportunities to meet and dance with different people while making new friends. Classes rotate partners, however if you want to dance with a select partner, that is also allowed.

6. How do I choose the right workshops for my level?

Workshops are categorized by level (beginner, intermediate, advanced) to help you select the best fit for your skills. If you're unsure, feel free to ask the instructors for guidance.

7. Can I take photographs or videos during the festival?

Taking photos for personal use is permitted, however please stay out of designated media areas in front of the stage during performances.

8. Are tickets refundable or transferable?

Tickets are non-refundable, however they are transferable. Click "Edit Ticket" on Eventbrite and change the name and email to the person you want to send it to.

9. How can I stay updated on the festival schedule and any changes?

The festival website, our newsletter, and our official social media channels are the best sources for up-to-date information. We recommend following us to receive the latest news and updates. You can sign up for the newsletter with the popup from the website www.DanceCalifornia.com.

10. Is there a code of conduct for the festival?

Yes, our code of conduct is visible at the front desk and listed on our website.

11. How can I volunteer or become a vendor at the festival?

Volunteer slots are rarely available because nearly all of our volunteers sign up year after year. Vending slots are available, please message us at Contact@DanceCalifornia.com

12. What accommodation or lodging options are available near the festival venue?

We've partnered with several hotels close to the festival venue to offer special rates for attendees. Please visit our website's hotel section for details and booking information. The main hotel has sold out in the past, so please be mindful and reserve early.

13. Will there be food or restaurants at the festival?

Yes, inside the venue, we'll also have food vendors offering a selection of snacks and meals, including vegetarian and vegan options. Also, the festival venue is surrounded by a variety of dining options catering to all tastes, from quick bites to sit-down meals

14. Is alcohol available at the festival?

Alcohol will be available for purchase at designated bar areas within the festival for attendees of legal drinking age (21+ in the United States). Please carry a valid ID for age verification. We encourage responsible drinking and reserve the right to refuse service to anyone.

15. What are the parking options at the festival?

The Doubletree has free parking for hotel guests, and $5 parking for those not staying. We strongly recommend carpooling or using public transportation to ease congestion and environmental impact.
