Join Black Women Adventures as we participate in the Sweetwater Safari Hike hosted by The Living Coast Discovery Center! This is not a BWA-hosted event, but we’re gathering to experience this adventure together.
🌿 About the Hike:
We'll explore the Sweetwater Marsh Trail within the San Diego Bay National Wildlife Refuge, learning about the rich history of the marsh, its salt marsh ecosystem, and the diverse plants and wildlife that thrive in this protected space.
👀 What to Expect:
✔️ 1-mile guided trek through the marsh
✔️ Opportunities to spot wildlife – bring binoculars or check out a pair at their station!
✔️ Family-friendly activity backpacks with magnifying glasses & binoculars available for use
🚗 Parking & Shuttle Info:
Parking is outside the wildlife refuge. All visitors must take the free shuttle from the designated parking lot on Gunpowder Point Drive.
