Burkittsville Walking Tour

During our museum season in 2025, South Mountain Heritage Society will offer docent-guided walking tours on the first Saturday of the months April through September at 9:00 am. The hour-long tour will take visitors to historic sites throughout the village and cover the founding of Burkittsville, significant Civil War sites, a important landmarks. This tour is offered for free, but donations are welcome and encouraged for the support of South Mountain Heritage Society. Tours begin and conclude at South Mountain Heritage Society located at 3 East Main Street, Burkittsville, MD. Parking is available in the lot immediately next to the museum.
