About this event

  • Event lasts 1 hour 30 minutes

Learn about the Center's oyster restoration work from our very own Science Technician, Morgan Krell. Participants will learn about the construction of the reef and the benefits a wild oyster reef has on water quality, wildlife, and our way of life. Explore the beach at the Preserve while learning all about the importance of oysters and all the work that went into creating the Pasture Point Reef!

Closed-toe shoes are encouraged. Please remember to bring water, sunscreen and insect repellant, if desired since the Preserve can be buggy.

Please note: Participants under the age of 18 must have a parent/guardian present at all times. Thank you for your cooperation.

We'll be walking 1-1.5 miles throughout the Preserve on various terrain.

This program is weather permitting. Attendance is free, registration is encouraged.
