About this event

  • Event lasts 3 hours 30 minutes

Join us as we distribute trees to Brooklyn Park residents! By providing trees at a significant discount, we make tree planting available for all. We will work outside and you will get a little dirty. Let's get trees to community members and grow greener futures for all.

We will email you a reminder two days prior to the event.

Be prepared!

🧥 Wear weather appropriate clothing that can get dirty.

🥾 Wear closed-toe shoes or boots that can get dirty.

💧 Bring a water bottle! This is hard work and it's important to stay hydrated.

☔ Prepare for any weather - we work in the rain! Event will be cancelled or postponed in unsafe conditions (lightning, extreme temperatures, severe weather).

What to expect on site:

🧤 Check in at the Tree Trust tent to receive work gloves, a high visibility vest, and instructions.

🦺 Tree Trust staff will ask you to help direct traffic, hand out educational materials, or load trees and bagged mulch into residents' vehicles.

Tree Trust volunteers should be prepared to:

  • Stand, walk, and carry trees and bags of mulch
  • Lift up to 30 pounds (we encourage team lifts for heavier trees)
  • Have a meaningful impact on their community!

Tree Trust staff and tree experts will be on hand to supervise and answer any questions!

If you have any questions, contact us at volunteer@treetrust.org.

This project was funded by a grant from the USDA Forest Service.
