Bringing Back Greek Scholars: Insights from Boston

Join us at the Taubman Building, Harvard Kennedy School for the presentation of the results of the first survey on the Greek academic diaspora.

Deon Policy Institute identified over 3,500 Greek academics in leading universities abroad and collected survey responses from almost 500 individuals working in 109 universities in 19 different countries. The survey documents the characteristics of the Greek academic diaspora, sheds light on their willingness to move to Greece, and captures the conditions required for such a move. By scrutinizing their motivations and hesitations, Deon will set forth practical policy recommendations focused on helping Greece transform its universities into global leaders while rekindling ties with its academic diaspora. Following the presentation, Deon is pleased to host a panel discussion led by experts in the field who will share their knowledge on the topic and offer diverse perspectives.
