About this event

  • Event lasts 15 minutes

Dirgha Pranayama (Full Yogic Breath) is a deeply balancing breathing technique. It works with three different sections of the torso: belly, ribcage, and upper chest. Benefits of this pranayama include the increase of energy, the release of emotional and physical tension, clarity of the mind, and a more balanced state of being. Check with your doctor if you are pregnant, have high blood pressure, or have recent spine injuries. Beginner friendly.

Yoga brings our attention to what we already have. We all have our breath, so pranayama (breathwork) has an important place in our yoga program. We all experience the benefits of deep relaxed breathing or even of a single deep full breath in and out through the nose. Many other techniques we teach are just as simple, easy and you can use them anywhere any time you need them. Numerous studies refer to the effectiveness of meditation, deep breathing and mindfulness in dealing with trauma, chronic pain, anxiety and depression. Yes Yes Yoga is dedicated to bringing this wonderful practice to all seeking healing and optimal health. Our mission is to share simple yoga tools for everyday life.

We offer yoga sessions for beginners, for relaxation, for fitness as well as kids & family yoga. Private, group, and corporate sessions online & in person in Denver, CO. See full schedule HERE.
