BLACK MENtal Health: An Introduction To ICBM Workshop Series

Come join us for an insightful evening focusing on Black Mens’ Mental Health. This in-person introduction is aimed to provide a safe space for men and women to discuss ongoing challenges, emotional issues, relationships, discover resources and more. You will also discover how the ICBM Workshop Series is designed to support the mental health and well-being of Black Men.

Using culturally informed evidence-based research, Black men (and those who love them), will be asked to examine and reconsider how we understand issues around emotional intelligence, masculinity (good & bad) and misplaced anger in an effort to tap into wells of undiscovered strengths and abilities.

While becoming better grounded, despite the adversities regularly faced, Black men are then asked to understand and build superior support networks, have more meaningful emotional outcomes, healthier relationships, and stronger family legacies.

Whether you're seeking guidance or simply want to connect with others, this event is for you. Let's break the stigma and prioritize mental health together!

Frequently asked questions

Who should attend this event?

Those who want to: heal through cultural understanding, develop emotional intelligence & expression, build psychological hardiness, create healthier and loving relationships, transform limiting beliefs, better manage anger and negative behaviors and build a community of support.

Is this event just for Black men?

No. Our goal is to support Men of Color, and that cannot be achieved without women who are interested in understanding the challenges that Men of Color face. Together, we must engage in life's possibilities to create emotionally lasting positive outcomes for ourselves and future generations.

Is this event considered "group therapy" or "counseling"?

Please note: This event is not intended to provide therapy or counseling services. It is solely an informational session designed to introduce participants to the ICBM Workshop, a comprehensive two-day program that will be conducted on a separate date.

What are ICBM Workshops?

A transformative experience for Black Men to address factors of mental health. ICBM is unique in using cultural heritage as the canvas for resilience, emotional intelligence and self-expression. Over the course of two days, ICBM explores in-depth information, discussion, providing on-site support.

Will tickets be sold at the door?
