About this event

Starts Wednesday, March 19th (Wednesday mornings from 10:00AM-1:00PM for six weeks.)

NOTE: Class dates are 3/19; 3/26; 4/2; 4/9; 4/16; and 4/30. There is no class on 4/23. In the event of a weather cancellation, a make-up date would be held on 5/7.

This course is a full overview of bezel settings, starting with simple bezels and progressing up to custom setting unusual shapes. The first half of the series is project based. We will be making a pair of earrings, a ring, and a pendant. The second half of the series will be a self-designed project with instructor support. For the final project, a selection of stones will be available but students are also welcome to bring in small stones or objects from home. This is a beginner class, no prior metalsmithing experience is needed!

Fee does not include materials. A basic materials kit is $50 and includes everything needed to complete the course, including your choice of stones. The materials kit can be purchased directly from the instructor with Venmo or cash at the first class.

Non-members: $250 for 6 weeks. Members: $200.

About the instructor: Racheal Cooley has a degree in art and biology. She was first introduced to metalsmith jewelry making in high school and has had a passion for it ever since. She enjoys helping people discover this medium and has been teaching classes since 2023.
