Ahoy maties! Ready for some lake fun? Register now for the Beaver Lake Pirate Poker Run on Saturday June 14, 2025! Your $100 donation gets you one poker hand (plus one additional hand if you register before May 1st), a Beaver Pirate Flag, a deck of event specialty cards, a swag bag full of booty and a full day of fun! Extra poker hands are only $25 for you or your shipmates (no limit) plus you can purchase Parlay Tokens which will allow you to redraw an undesired card. Best Poker Hand, Best Poker Hand with Wild Cards and Low/Worst Hand (A,2,3,4,6 unsuited) each wins a prize valued at between $300 and $500! Best themed Pirate vessel wins a its own prize. Only 100 boats and 25 pwc's get to play so register today!

There are also 50/50 raffle tickets available at the Beaver Dam Dive Shop 11792 Hwy 187, Eureka Springs, AR 72631 - one for $5 or five for $20.

Event Schedule:

1. Pick up your registration packets at either Starkey Marina, Prairie Creek Marina or Rocky Branch Marina between 9 am and 12 noon on June 14, 2025. You will designate on your online registration form which marina will be your pickup point.

2. You may buy additional hands for your boat at registration locations.

3. You may buy 50/50 raffle tickets at the non-registration card stops. Cash donations only, $5 each or 5 for $20. Drawing for the 50/50 is June 14, 2025, after poker run winners announced.

4. Hoist your pirate flag. Each participating boat or pwc must have a numbered flag and show it at the card stops to participate.

5. Before you leave the dock, make sure everyone on your craft that is playing poker has a tally sheet for EACH hand they are playing, each sheet has a hand number that corresponds with the boat or pwc they are on.

6. Go to the card stops. There will be a map with GPS points in your registration packet. Each port is designated by a large red Beaver Lake Pirate Poker Run Flag. As you approach the dock, hold up your folder showing your number to the Poker Run crew.

7. The Poker Run crew will draw your cards at each stop and will mark then initial your tally sheet. If you have Parlay Tokens, you can exclaim "PARLAY!" and redraw as many times as you wish until your card is recorded on your sheet. A Parlay Token is surrendered for each replacement card drawn.

8. Once all players have received their cards and tally sheets are marked, move on carefully and politely to the next stop.

9. There are 7 card stops but hands may be turned in with five or fewer cards. If playing the Low/Worst Hand, you must play five cards.

10. Keep track of the time, but we encourage you to stop for lunch, play in the water, and visit our sponsors’ new boat displays that will be near several of the card stops.

11. Turn in your completed tally sheets no later than 4 p.m. to the Poker Run crew at Starkey Marina on Ultra Dock.

Frequently asked questions

Where can I pick up my swag bag and other event booty?

Pick up your flag, swag bag and tally sheets the day of the event 9:00 - 12:00 at either Starkey Marina, Prairie Creek Marina or Rocky Branch Marina (You'll designate your start point during your Eventbrite registration.)

Can I get a poker hand without having a vessel?

No, to participate, you must be on a registered vessel. Could be a friend's/relative's vessel, but it has to be registered in the event.

Where can I get additional poker hands or Parlay Tokens?

You can get additional poker hands or Parlay Tokens online or during registration. During registration both poker hands and Parlay Tokens are cash only. Poker hands are $25 each or five for $100. Parlay Tokens are $20 each or six for $100.

Which marina can I start at?

Captains can either start at Starkey Marina, Prairie Creek Marina or Rocky Branch Marina. When registering, please indicate your "launch port."

Where is the event headquarters?

Starkey Marina is the main sponsor/location for this event. At the end of run, all vessels will report to Starkey's to turn in their hands and have their vessels judged in the best looking pirate boat contest. Winners will be announced at Starkey's at Awards Ceremony; you must be present to win!

Who put this all together?

The Grassy Knob Rural Volunteer Fire Department is the organizer of this event. The GKFD provides Emergency Medical services and Fire Fighting for the eastern most end of Beaver Lake including Highway 187, the Beaver Lake Dam, Mundell Road, and roads extending from those main arteries.

How many stops are available to pick up cards?

There will be seven (7) locations to pick up cards for your poker hands. Some of the locations will be marinas on Beaver Lake, but there will be other pirate water ports to pick up cards. A pirate map will be given to each captain. It is not necessary to stop at every port; it's up to you.
