About this event

  • Event lasts 4 hours

Every winter, storms leave Arcadia’s trails covered with fallen trees and debris, making hiking and biking difficult. To restore the trails, RINEMBA is teaming up with Rhody Rovers and other trail user groups for a community cleanup effort.

We'll be using hand tools to clear blockages, while chainsaws will only be operated by verified sawyers. Chainsaw work must be done in teams of two or more, with at least one sawyer and one helper. Safety gear, including chaps and hearing protection, is strongly encouraged.

If you are interested in operating a chainsaw for this event, please contact the event organizers from RINEMBA or Rhody Rovers in advance.

Event registraiton/Homebase is Midway Lot on 165 but you may find it easier to drive to remote locations for better access to work areas.

Please sign up in the category/time you wish to particiapte.

This cleanup not only improves trail conditions but also strengthens partnerships among different user groups for future collaboration.

Event Schedule:

  • 9:00 AM – Chainsaw teams & helpers (on foot, bike, or moto) start work. Chainsaw work must be done in teams of two. Work routes will be assigned to each team.
  • 10:00 AM – Hand tool crews (on foot, bike, or moto) begin. We have a few hand saws and rakes available, but bring your preferred tools if you have them. Work areas
  • 10:00 Moto Trash Cleanup – Two known trash dumps in northern Arcadia could use moto assistance for removal. We'll provide trash bags.
