Chapter Meeting: Backdoors and Breaches (Web Edition)

Join us and have fun sharpening your cybersecurity Incident Response (IR) skills with a real-time virtual tabletop exercise.


Outcomes:

- Learn from your peers in a safe, fun, and collaborative problem-solving exercise

- Get familiar with real-world threats, attack vectors, and what happens when presentation or response decisions don’t work

Facilitator:

Brian Ventura

Brian Ventura is an experienced cybersecurity professional with over 30 years of industry experience.

Currently, he serves as a Partner at Cyverity, an information security consulting firm specializing in governance, risk, and compliance.

His diverse background includes roles in large international organizations, small to medium-sized businesses, and both government and private sectors, where he has advised, architected, and assessed secure solutions.

Brian's expertise encompasses enterprise information security governance, risk management, and compliance, with a particular focus on implementing and auditing the CIS Controls and the NIST Cybersecurity Framework.

​In addition to his consulting work, Brian is a Certified Instructor at the SANS Institute, where he teaches courses such as SEC566: Implementing and Auditing CIS Controls and LDR512: Security Leadership Essentials for Managers.

He actively contributes to the development of the CIS Controls through his volunteer work with the Center for Internet Security.
