Join AIA Brooklyn at The Mercury Store in Gowanus on Wednesday, March 19 for a presentation from Brooklyn SolarWorks followed by a brief AIA Brooklyn chapter meeting. The Mercury Store is a 4-minute walk from the 4th Ave / 9th Street F-G-N-D-R-W station.
Brooklyn SolarWorks, having operated in New York City for ten years, will unpack the complexities of integrating solar systems into a range of New York City projects. Their construction and design specialists will provide a basic understanding of solar system design and installation types as well as the importance of integrating solar solutions at design inception to maximize solar capacity without adverse impacts on other aspects of a design.
The presentation will also dive into the Local laws and regulations surrounding solar installations, including laws mandating solar integration, that are fueling widespread adoption of solar in new builds and renovations throughout NYC. You will also get a glimpse at the financial incentives available at federal, state, and local levels that maximize the economic benefits of solar.
