AHYP Club: Ballparks Of Pittsburgh's Past and Present
Join us on Wednesday, April 23rd as we welcome author Vincent Ciaramella who will have a presentation on Pittsburgh's baseball history. Vincent's books can be found HERE.
There’s nothing more exciting than going to a ball game. The sites, the sounds, the atmosphere all contribute to our enjoyment as the game itself. The ballparks of Pittsburgh have left a historic footprint on the collective psyche of our town. But do you know where the first baseball game in Pittsburgh was played? What about the legend of the monkey buried under home plate? What about the lost ballpark that was THE actual first Black owned and operated that now lies forgotten in a tangle of weeds and bramble?
Join teacher and baseball historian, Vincent T. Ciaramella on a trip across the city and across time from 1857-2025 as we explore the many places that Pittsburgh has played ball.

Not for this event. We want folks to come and check out the club and hear a neat presentation on Pittsburgh's history.
We're pretty laid back here. I'd say you'd be find in jeans and a decent shirt or business casual.
We'll have some light appetizers available but nothing that would take the place of dinner.
