Join your Pittsburgh Park Rangers for an age 50+ guided hike series featuring the City of Pittsburgh’s Regional Parks! This hike series will focus on shorter hikes (under 2 miles) for beginner hikers.  All hikes will be a slow-to-light pace with few stopping points throughout! Participants are urged to wear closed toe shoes, wear sunscreen, and pack a water bottle for this hike series.  Registration is not required but recommended for updates and cancellations due to inclement weather. Registration opens March 1st!

This hike will take you on a historic tour of the Reservoir Walkway! During this hike you will get to see the entrance gardens (from above), Reservoir #1, and then walk along Reservoir Drive. Participants should be prepared for a gradual grade on a paved walkway and a couple steps.

Meeting Location: Highland Park, Mt. Bigelow. Use nearest Residential Address: 2003 Reservoir Drive

Meet your Ranger: Ranger Sam Has been a Pittsburgh City Park Ranger since 2019. She has a passion for nature and animals, so this was an easy fit for her. One of her favorite things to do as a Park Ranger is to do programming with kids and petting all the dogs being walked in the park!
