The Hobson-Goodlow Education Foundation and Tau Iota Sigma Chapter of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc. will sponsor the 29th Annual African American Male Image Awards Scholarship Luncheon. The luncheon will be at noon on Saturday, April 12, 2025, at the Holiday Inn, University of Memphis.

Purpose:

This luncheon aims to raise funds to support college-bound African American male high school seniors and recognize African American men in the Memphis community who exhibit a sense of Brotherhood for all humanity, have respect for Scholarship, and engage in Community Service. The Foundation honors African American men who excel in the areas of Business, Community Service, and Education and have made an impact in the Memphis community through their service and work endeavors. The Hobson-Goodlow Foundation, Inc. and the Tau Iota Sigma Chapter have honored 139 African American males within the local community in the past 28 years and have contributed more than $100,000 toward educating young African American college-bound men.

Recognition:

Five (5) high school seniors who exemplify the ideals of the Fraternity and demonstrate profound respect for Scholarship will receive a $ 1,500.00 scholarship.

The Fraternity will also present the “Service for Humanity” Award. The award is given to someone who exemplifies the Fraternity’s motto, “Culture for Service and Service for Humanity," consistently exhibits integrity and ethical behavior, and values the worth and dignity of all humanity in their profession and community.
