Frequently asked questions

How do I register more than one student?

Each student must have their own registration and ticket. Please register each student individually.

Is transportation provided for the student?

No. Each student is responsible for their own transportation to and from the event.

Are parents welcome to stay for the event or do they need to drop off and pick up?

Yes. All parents and chaperones are welcome to stay and observe the students at the various stations. The conference room used for the Impact Teen Presentation does have a max capacity of 100. Students will be counted first and any remaining space may be filled by parents and chaperones.

Why is this during the school week and not a weekend or day off?

We have found in the past, hosting this event on a weekend competes with sports and club activities resulting in very low attendance.

Do the schools allow students to miss class for this event?

In the past, the high schools have considered this educational event an EXCUSED ABSENCE. It is the responsibility of the parents/caregiver to VERIFY through their respective school that this is still accurate. They are also responsible to provide any documentation requested by the school.

Will food and drinks be provided?

We will provide a light breakfast (donuts, bagels, muffins, fruit, coffee, juice) during registration. We will also provide water/juice throughout the event and a snack late morning/early afternoon (pretzels/cookies). The event concludes at 2:00 pm so we will not be breaking for meals.

Is this event rain or shine?

YES! Please check the weather leading up to the event and dress accordingly. 75% of the event is held outdoors. If rain is in the forecast, we will provide all students with a rain poncho.

What if I have to cancel my registration?

If you need to cancel your registration, please do so through your Eventbrite link provided in the confirmation email you received. If you are experiencing problems or cannot locate the email, please email dediaz@chesco.org.

Is parking free for this event?

Yes, parking is free for the duration of the event.
