For almost four decades, the Adoptive and Foster Family Coalition of New York’s annual statewide conference has provided an opportunity for foster/kinship care/adoptive parents to be inspired, network and learn about the latest in the field. Aimed at parents and professionals alike, the conference brings leaders in the child welfare field to New York and offers a variety of topical workshops designed to deepen the knowledge of attendees, help to form connections with other parents and professionals and give attendees tools they can bring home and share in their community. Nationally-known plenary speakers and workshop presenters share their knowledge and expertise to help participants gain perspective, increase skills, and learn to appreciate the positives.

Frequently asked questions

Will Conference Scholarships be offered this year?

A limited number of Conference Scholarships will be available for in-person attendance with a larger offering of virtual scholarships. The scholarship application process will be online soon. Please do not register if you plan to apply for a scholarship.

What of my organization requires an invoice or voucher?

If your organization requires an invoice or voucher, please email us BEFORE you register at info@affcny.org to make arrangements. We can quickly and easily accommodate most requests. We will provide you with a unique PROMO code to register.

Can I register and pay for someone else?

Yes, please reserve a separate ticket for each person you are registering. If you are registering others, please indicated your contact information and organization when requested. This collection field will be AFTER payment information.

I need to register a larger group.

To make larger group reservations, please email us BEFORE making reservations at info@affcny.org to make arrangements. We can quickly and easily accommodate most requests and can help simplify the registration process for agency based scholarships or larger organizations or parent groups as well.

What about refunds?

A $30 administrative fee will be charged for all cancellations. The balance of the registration fee will be refunded if email cancellation is received by WEDNESDAY 5/1. See conference policy for all details https://affcny.org/programs/education-training/conference/conference-policy-information/
