The Ocean State Bird Club is excited to announce its Third Annual RI Cup BIG Day Competition. The competition is meant to bring together our community of birders for a fun-filled day of birding. Teams of three will compete across the state for an enitre day of birding to see or hear and count as many bird species as they can. At the conclusion of the competition, teams will gather at Panera Bread in South Kingstown to celebrate the day, discuss findings, and to determine the winner. Get your team together and start planning your route and itinerary. We expect a lot of participation and excitment so register today. Let's have a great day birding.

Are there prizes available for winning this competition?

Yes. Besides the trophy, which is passed between winning teams year-to-year, there will be prizes available for the winning team and the team that reports the most individual bird species.
