Who is invited to attend the ONS California Advocacy Symposium?

Though this event is oncology-focused, it is open to all staff nurses, advanced practice nurses, case managers, educators, researchers, consultants, other healthcare professionals, and nursing students.

Do you have to attend both days?

Yes. This conference is focused on non-partisan advocacy in action. Day 1 is for educating on and developing advocacy skills. Day 2 involves meeting with your California Senator and Assemblymember so that you can put your advocacy skills into action to promote oncology-related legislation.

What will I be advocating for?

We will be advocating to improve oncology care in California

What does the registration fee include?

The registration fee includes: participation in the 2025 ONS California Advocacy Summit, CEUs for Day 1 education, and breakfast/lunch on Day 1.

What is your refund policy?

Registration and service fees are non-refundable.

What time does Day 2 begin and end?

The schedule on Day 2 depends on when your meeting(s) with your Senator or Assemblymember is/are scheduled. Generally, meetings start at 9 am and can be as late as 3:00 pm.

Do I have to schedule my meeting with my Senator and Assemblymember on my own?

Yes. You'll receive an e-mail in early to mid-March to early April with instructions on how to make an appointment with your state legislators.
