Building on the success of last year’s Historic Architecture of Washington County bus tour, WCHS will offer a new spring bus tour on Saturday, May 17, 2025. Our first major stop of the day will be to the Valentia Mill & Farm Site ca. 1790s, south of Funkstown, which was awarded the 2022 John Frye Historical Preservation Award. Our second major historical stop will be the Springfield Farm ca. 1764 and 1879, which was recently on the market and acquired by the Town of Williamsport. Williamsport Mayor Bill Green will lead our tour of Springfield. Don’t miss the opportunity to tour these two beautiful historical treasures of Washington County!

Guests should plan on parking and meeting the bus at JCPenney at the Valley Mall no later than 15 minutes before 9:00 AM. Our bus will leave the Valley Mall at 9:00 AM for our tour stops! We will return to the Valley Mall by 3:30 PM that afternoon.

Price per guest is $50 for WCHS members and $65 for non-members. Ticket includes a catered boxed lunch (please let us know if you are vegetarian or have any dietary restrictions), snacks, and drinks. Non-member tickets ($65) include a complimentary WCHS individual membership.
