What is the Global Respectful Disruption Summit (GRDS)?

The GRDS is a collaborative event created to amplify underrepresented voices in global and multicultural education. Hosted by COMPEAR.org and GoAbroad.com, this summit fosters understanding and dialogue to address inequalities in international education and beyond.

Who attends the summit?

International educators from various sectors, including: Education Abroad, International Student Scholar Services, English Language Learning, International Enrollment Management, International Education Leadership, DEI practitioners, and anyone passionate about amplifying underrepresented voices.

When does registration open and close?

Registration Opens: February 3, 2025, at midnight (12:00 AM) Early Bird Registration Closes: March 24, 2025 General Registration Closes: April 25, 2025, at noon (12:00 PM)

What ticket options are available?

All tickets provide virtual access to the summit, but sponsored in-person viewing hubs include additional programming a community atmosphere, and on-site support from hub hosts. If you want to engage in a shared experience with local participants, choose a sponsored hub ticket.

What are sponsored in-person viewing hubs?

These are curated, immersive, and locally hosted hubs offering in-person engagement with live summit content. Sponsored hubs are supported by our partners to enhance accessibility and community connections.

What is included in my registration?

Virtual Tickets: Access to live summit sessions, networking opportunities, and post-event session recordings. In-Person Hubs: Access to live-streamed sessions, local networking opportunities, and post-event session recordings.and light refreshments.

Are Refunds Available?

Refunds are available up to 10 days before the live event.

How can I apply for a registration grant?

We are committed to providing 50 grants for the 2025 GRDS to those with financial limitations. Grants cover the full cost of registration. Visit: https://globalrdsummit.com/sponsor-2025/ Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis, and grantees will be notified within two weeks of submission

Are there volunteer opportunities?

Yes! Volunteers are essential to the success of the summit. Roles include moderating chats, assisting in virtual rooms, helping attendees via the virtual lobby help desk. Volunteers must attend training scheduled for April 11 or 14 & commit to at least 2 hours on April 23 or 25.

What are the MSI Block Grants?

It's a special initiative by the Compear Global Education Network, supported by the Compear Personal Development Fund, to recognize and support Historically Black and Minority Serving Institutions (MSIs). It highlights the critical role MSIs play in creating lasting change in global education.

Who is eligible for MSI Block Grants?

Selected MSIs that have been nominated by members of the global education community for their outstanding contributions to global education. Each selected institution receives 5 full registration grants for students, faculty, or staff to attend both summit days (April 23 and 25, 2025) at no cost.

What does the grant include?

Full registration for the Global Respectful Disruption Summit (including April's Labs and December's programming). Access to keynotes, workshops, networking opportunities, and summit recordings. Special recognition during the summit’s opening ceremony.

Are group tickets available?

Yes! Group tickets are available at a discount of $10 off per ticket. Group discounts can be applied during Early Bird and General Registration. A group must consist of three or more participants. Students are not eligible for the group discount, as their tickets are already deeply discount

What if I can’t attend all the sessions?

All registered attendees (virtual and in-person) will have access to session recordings after the event.
