Join us for an immersive two-day Liberty Training clinic at West Wind Icelandics. Under the guidance of Chrissy Wzorek from CJW Horsemanship, participants will discover how to develop a deeper connection with their horses through groundwork and liberty training.
Each day combines theory and hands-on practice. Your morning begins with an engaging roundtable discussion, followed by group training sessions where you'll learn foundation skills, relaxation techniques, and body control exercises. After lunch prepared by chef Alexis deBoschnek, you'll receive focused attention during individual and semi-private sessions to refine your skills.
Whether you're new to liberty work or continuing from our previous clinic, this program teaches you how to create a language where your horse seeks to be a part of the conversation. Through clear communication and attunement skills, you'll build confidence and trust with your horse.
Participant spots are limited to 9 per day to ensure quality instruction. Auditors are welcome and will gain valuable insights from observing all sessions. The facility offers indoor arena, a comfortable tack room for instruction and stabling options for participants bringing horses.
Key Takeaways:
- Foundation skills and relaxation techniques
- Body control and clear communication cues
- Positive reinforcement (R+) training
- Individual attention and personalized feedback
- Progress toward liberty work goals
Previous participants will build upon established skills while newcomers will discover the fundamentals of liberty training in a supportive environment.
