Independent Music in Austin is Thriving

Top event categories in Austin include: Music, Performing & Visual Arts, and Food & Drink. In one of the United States’ music capitals, close to 1 in 5 (18%) of all of Austin’s Eventbrite events were music related. These music events brought in over 253,000 attendees in H1 2022.

Hip hop & rap tops the charts for most popular music genre, accounting for  9% of music event attendees in Austin in H1 2022.
