At Eventbrite, we’re constantly thinking about the power of social networks, and looking for ways to harness that power to get your events in front of your target audience.

One of the key ways people share events is on Twitter. We recently launched Twitter Cards, so that when someone Tweets about your event, their friends (and your potential attendees!) can more quickly understand what your event’s all about.

Before, when someone Tweeted a link to your Eventbrite event, this was all their Twitter followers would see:

Twitter Before

Now, whenever someone taps into that Tweet, they’ll see something like this:

Twitter New

The new Twitter cards show your logo, your event’s title, and the beginning of your event description, so that attendees can get the info they need in a quick, visual way.

On mobile devices, people will also see a link to open the event in Eventbrite for mobile. Our mobile app lets people register for your event on-the-go, share your event with their friends, easily access their tickets and event information, and check into events with just their phone — making everyone’s life easier.
